Sound is the most powerful thing in the room nobody is managing.

I came at this from an unusual direction. The craft first, the science second, the business third. Here's the throughline.

The premise, stated plainly

Music has a reputation for being soul-driven, a uniquely human, almost magical thing. After thousands of hours learning its language and executing it on stages and in sessions, I've landed somewhere different. Music is patterns. It's a language: structured, learnable, and shared between a maker and a listener.

That isn't a smaller view of music. It's a more useful one. A language can be studied, taught, and deliberately deployed, and the feeling it produces in a listener is real precisely because the patterns underneath it are real. The "soul" people describe is the experience of mastery, not the presence of magic.

The practical consequence: if sound is craft rather than mysticism, then its effect on human behavior is something you can design on purpose instead of leaving to chance. That single idea is what the rest of the work is built on.

Three vantage points on the same problem

Practitioner. I'm a working musician. I don't analyze sound from the outside. I know how it's actually built, because I build it. That's the difference between someone who has read about a thing and someone who can do it under pressure.

Operator. I founded Entuned, which translates a store's ideal customer psychology into an original soundtrack and measures the result: dwell time, basket size, willingness to pay. It's the thesis made testable in real rooms with real registers. The company is the evidence; it isn't the point of this site.

Researcher. Across a growing library of filmed breakdowns and written analysis, I work through what the peer-reviewed science actually says about sound and behavior, naming the authors, the journals, and the limits. Rigor over hand-waving.

Why "behaviorist," not "psychologist"

I study behavior, what people actually do when the sound around them changes. I'm careful with the word "psychologist," which carries a specific clinical meaning I haven't earned and don't claim. "Behaviorist" is the honest description: I'm interested in observable response, measured in the room, on the floor, at the point of sale.

What I'm building toward
